What a party!

Woofies all! Rubie here! Max & I wanted to thank everyone who came out to our Book Release Party & Benefit! We raised just over $3000 in cash, food, toys and supplies that we’re donating to our 4 benefit shelters: Cayuga Dog Rescue, Pet the Pet Program, Seneca County SPCA and the Browncoat Cat Rescue! And we also wanted to thank all our 4-legged friends who came out and supported our fellow cats and dogs who are less fortunate than us! Here’s a photo wrap up of the day, which we thought you’d enjoy in case you couldn’t make it! Early in the day we were busy with set up…

While we were getting ready, our buddies from Twitter showed up! So excited to meet them face to face…

Our twitter friends Whiskey and Rye with their mom and aunt! Their mom runs The Collar Lab in Rochester where they make these gorgeous handmade collars, donating the proceeds to a different shelter each month. For the party, they donated the proceeds to our four charities!

Even the t-shirt lady’s dogs got into the spirit of the event and came with their mom on the delivery, then stayed to party with us for a little while!

Maddy and Belle! Their mom made those cute paw print t-shirts for the benefit. They had fun!

And the rescues began showing up with their ambassadors…

Clark, the ambassador for Cayuga Dog Rescue, was recently adopted but wanted to come back and help them out for the event.

I of course, couldn’t help sneaking away for a swim now and again…

Yes I snuck out for a swim! It was friggin HOT! A proper hostess has to stay refreshed to be at her best, right?

But Max and I were so wiped out, we didn’t even make a play for the food! And that NEVER happens!

So while we were napping, poser cat Puffy came in and took over supervising the end of the day.

Puffy surveying the results of the day! Yeah, where was she when there was real work to do?

All and all it was a fantastic day for a fantastic cause! And we were psyched to see the support from our friends and community! Thanks again everyone! We’re going to do it again next year! (Guess that means we’re going to have to write another book!)

Woofies!
